WINE DESCRIPTION
With years of experience in sustainable agriculture and local food, Matthiasson Wines was founded in 2003. This small family-owned winery is focusing on purity, terroir, respect, responsibility. Wines are produced from classical grape varieties like Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as rare ones like Ribolla Gialla and Refosco. The wines are deeply flavorful, food-friendly, and moderate in alcohol.
The Matthiasson 'Tendu' Red is a blend of Barbera, Aglianico, Montepulciano, Carignane and Cinsault.
This second label from Jill and Steve Matthiasson beautifully balances fruitiness and complexity. With its vibrant flavors and smooth texture, it offers a versatile and approachable style that is sure to please any wine enthusiast.

On first appearance, the wine shows off a light ruby color with a strawberry colored rim in the glass
On the nose, it shows inviting notes of cranberry, cherry, wild raspberry, red currant fruits with floral hints, green herbs and mint
Upon the first sip, the wine reveals a medium-bodied structure with well-integrated tannins.The fruit flavors continue to shine on the palate, with the addition of blackberries and plums adding depth and richness. There is a pleasant acidity that brings vibrancy to the wine, enhancing its overall freshness.
