Maison de Montille Saint-Romain "Le Jarron" is an elegant white wine that beautifully captures the freshness and minerality of the region's elevated vineyards. The grapes for the Saint-Romain from Maison de Montille are sourced from meticulously tended vineyards oriented south and north-northeast. The wine is produced from two lieux-dits: primarily from "Jarrons" and a smaller portion from "Sous Roches." The vines, approximately 30 years old, are hand-harvested, and the wine is aged for 12 months in Allier oak barrels, with a small percentage being new and lightly toasted. This is followed by an additional 4 to 6 months in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and fruit character.
