M. Marengo Dolcetto d'Alba is a refined expression of Italian winemaking heritage from the esteemed Marengo family estate, established in 1899. Under the adept management of Marco Marengo, alongside his wife Jenny and son Stefano, the winery cultivates 6 hectares of vineyards, including prestigious plots in Le Brunate and Bricco delle Viole. The Dolcetto d'Alba is crafted from a 0.48-hectare vineyard planted in 1997 and 2000, featuring mixed clay and silt soils with a southeast exposure. Utilizing spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel vats, followed by 10 months of aging in the same vessels, the wine showcases a vibrant, fresh character. M. Marengo Dolcetto d'Alba is celebrated for its pure, expressive fruit flavors and balanced acidity, making it a delightful and approachable wine that honors the Marengo family's long-standing dedication to their terroir.
