Lauverjat Moulin des Vrillères Sancerre Rouge is a light bodied dry red wine made from Pinot Noir. Unbeknown to many consumer the Sancerre appellation also produces Red wines, which is does is growing number in the current warming climate. Expect crunchy cranberry and raspberry fruit with a slightly earthy undertone. This example was aged for 12 month before release, 10 of which were is oak to add more texture to the mid-palate and notes of old wood. This is a good choice for drinkers of entry level red Burgundy seeking relief from rising Burgundian prices.
