The Chavarri family of Bodegas Larchago is a cornerstone in the wine world of Rioja Alavesa. In 1882, Francisco Chavarri made the first ever entry in the Rioja Alavesa bottling register. This family's extensive winemaking experience is evident when visiting their 70-hectare estate in the small Basque village of Lapuebla de la Barca. Today, Paco and his daughters, Ruth and Maria, manage the family business, infusing their wines with the legacy of their ancestors and the essence of Spanish terroir. Despite a modern cellar, their true passion lies in their vineyards, where the old vines tell stories of their heritage.
