WINE DESCRIPTION
Ken Forrester Renegade is a classic Southern Rhone blend, consisting of Syrah, Grenache and Mourvèdre. The grapes are sourced from the Stellenbosch region, located in South Africa's Western Cape. This area is situated a short distance from the cool Atlantic Ocean and is the sheltered from the Helderberg mountain range. The vines are planted on fine sandy loam on a clay base which helps retain water during the dry summer months. The wine is aged for around two years in French oak barrels to enhance the mouthfeel and aromatic profile.

Ken Forrester Renegade has a medium ruby color.On the nose, aromas of ripe blackberries, strawberries, and plums, accompanied by hints of spice and dried herbs burst from the glass. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with supple tannins and a well-integrated acidity that offsets the ripe fruit flavors. The palate mirrors the nose with additional notes of black pepper and a touch of smokiness. There is also a subtle earthiness that adds depth and complexity to the overall profile.
