Domini is a relatively young project by Jose Maria da Fonseca, Portugal's esteemed heritage winery. Situated in the Douro Valley, the vineyards thrive in the finest locations of the Douro Superior subregion, the northeast's driest and warmest part. Home to Portugal's most renowned estates, it yields exceptional wines from traditional Port grape varieties like Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barocca. These grapes culminate in top-tier red wine cuvées that are elegant, smooth, and profound. While Domini is an annual release, Domini Plus is an exceptional offering, crafted solely in outstanding (vintage) years, ensuring the fulfillment of the highest standards.

The Douro Valley in Portugal is one of the oldest and most iconic wine regions in the world. Located in the north of the country, the region is renowned for its stunning scenery and its production of world-class fortified wines.
The Douro Valley was first demarcated in 1756 and originally applied only to port production. It was extended to include table wine in 1979, with the first glimmer of the region’s potential for non-fortified still red wines appearing when port shippers Casa Ferreirinha launched Barca Velha in 1952.
