WINE DESCRIPTION
Iona Chardonnay is a premium white wine produced by Iona Vineyards in the Elgin Valley of South Africa. The vineyard is situated on a mountain plateau, 420 meters above sea level, which provides a cool climate and unique soil composition. The wine is made using traditional winemaking techniques, including handpicking and whole-bunch pressing, and is aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. The resulting wine is a beautifully balanced expression of the Chardonnay grape, with notes of citrus, stone fruit, and a subtle hint of oak. It is a perfect pairing for seafood, poultry, and creamy pasta dishes.
