WINE DESCRIPTION
Heinrich Chardonnay Leithaberg comes from the east side of the Leitha Mountains and on grows on limestone and slate which lends an intense minerality to the wine. The Heinrich family work according to strict biodynamic guidelines and with meticulous manual labor. After soft pressing, the grape juice remains for a few hours on the skins giving the wine gentle grip. The maturation takes place for 17 months on the fine lees in 500L oak barrels. Like all wines from Heinrich, the Chardonnay Leithaberg 2022 is filled unfiltered and bottled with minimal sulphur producing a wine that is pure and well-defined with notes of lemon, peach and chalky minerality.

Heinrich Chardonnay Leithaberg offers enticing aromas of ripe stone fruits, such as peach and nectarine, along with hints of citrus and vanilla.These aromas are beautifully complemented by subtle notes of toasted oak, adding depth and complexity to the wine.
The palate is taut and medium-bodied, with a creamy texture that coats the mouth. Flavors of ripe pear, apple, and lemon zest dominate, accompanied by a touch of hazelnuts and a hint of minerality. The well-integrated oak provides a gentle spice and adds layers of complexity to the wine.
The wine has a long and refreshing finish leaving a lasting impression of chalkiness and lemon zest.
