WINE DESCRIPTION
Grande Courraye Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux is a Merlot dominated blend with a touch of Cabernet Franc produced under the Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The vineyard is made up predominantly of old vines grown on south-east, silty-limestone soils. Vineyards are farmed and certified according to organic principles. The wine undergoes a cold pre-fermentation to increase the color and aromatic intensity of the wine, before the alcoholic fermentation. Finally, the wine is matured in neutral vessels for a short period prior to its release.

The wine displays a medium body, with a round and supple texture hinting at the high proportion of Merlot in the blend. The wine is marked by delicate herbaceous notes that linger on the finish.
