WINE DESCRIPTION
Gitton Père & Fils Silex Sancerre 'Les Belles Dames' is a mono-varietal Sauvignon Blanc which comes from a 5-hectare parcel on silex (flint) soils said to give notes of gun flint to the wine. This plot was planted as early in the 1960's on east and south-east facing slopes providing the ideal exposition for the grapes to ripen. Finally, Les Belles Dames is aged in stainless steel tanks and neutral oak barrels for around 9-10 months to add texture and weight.

Gitton Père & Fils Silex Sancerre 'Les Belles Dames' has a pale lemon appearance with green tints hinting at the wine's youthful nature.On the nose, expect vibrant aromas of citrus fruits, particularly grapefruit and lemon, intertwined with subtle herbaceous notes. There is also a distinct mineral character suggestive of gun flint. The palate displays a crisp and refreshing acidity creating a harmonious and well-balanced profile enhanced by mineral undertones.
