Wine Description:
Gérard Bertrand Change Sauvignon pick the Sauvignon Blanc grapes during the night, and are pressed as soon as they are brought to the cellar. The Sauvignon must be vinified with utmost care and all the operations are conducted under a neutral atmosphere. After a static cold settling for 48h, the juice is vinified in stainless steel vats at low temperature to bring out the aromas of the fruit. A meticulous temperature control helps maintaining the freshness and integrity of the aromas. The wine benefits from a light fining and is bottled the following spring to keep its liveliness. The resulting wine is a deep and shiny straw color with bright highlights. Fine citrus and yellow fruit notes on the nose. On the palate, this wine is pure and well balanced.
Pros:
  • Intense and complex aroma, with notes of citrus, peaches, and tropical fruits.

Wine Expert Note:

This Gérard Bertrand Change Sauvignon Blanc is vibrant and expressive. On the nose it bursts with aromas of citrus fruits such as grapefruit and lime, alongside notes of tropical fruits like passionfruit and pineapple. There's a subtle herbaceous quality, with hints of freshly cut grass and a touch of minerality that adds complexity. The palate is crisp and refreshing, with bright acidity that enlivens the senses. Flavors of zesty lemon, tangy grapefruit, and juicy tropical fruits dominate, balanced by a refreshing herbal undertone. The mouthfeel is lively and energetic, with a pleasing texture that coats the palate. The finish is clean and persistent, leaving a refreshing citrus zestiness that lingers on the palate. Overall, it's a perfect choice for lovers of crisp, aromatic white wines, and pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, or simply enjoyed on its own as a refreshing apéritif.
