WINE DESCRIPTION
Ferdinando Principiano's Langhe Coste is made entirely from the fiercely tannic and high acidity Nebbiolo grape. This variety is native to the Piedmont region located in Northwest Italy. The grapes are sourced specifically from the Monforte d'Alba area from his own organically certified vineyards. The grapes are harvested, crushed and fermented to dryness before being matured for about 18 months in Slavonian oak barrels to help out round out the characteristically grippy tannins of Nebbiolo without imparting marked oak spice.

The palate is lean and linear, with a firm core of acidity and grippy tannins that provide structure. In terms of flavor, this wine offers a harmonious blend of red fruits, such as cherries and cranberries, with a touch of spice and a lingering mineral finish.
