WINE DESCRIPTION

Demarie Barbaresco is a powerful, tannic red wine produced from the aromatic Nebbiolo variety, hailing from the Piedmont region located in Northwest Italy. The vineyards are located to the north-east of the village of Alba on preferentially exposed slopes to ensure Nebbiolo achieves full ripeness required to make these powerful, age-worthy wines. The vinification involves a long maceration on skins, with the alcoholic fermentation taking place in stainless steel tanks. The wines are matured for a legal minimum of 9 months in wood barrels before undergoing a further period in bottle prior to release.
