WINE DESCRIPTION
Couly-Dutheil Les Gravières Chinon is a lively, approachable red wine bursting with notes of raspberry and herbal undertones. Hailing from the Chinon appellation in France's Loire Valley, this wine is crafted from the Cabernet Franc grape variety. The vineyards boast unique gravelly soils, known as "gravières," which lend distinct gravelly characteristics to the wine. Grapes are harvested and de-stemmed, before undergoing a maceration and vinification using temperature-controlled vats. Ageing occurs in stainless steel tanks for a short period before the wine is released.
