Lively alternative to the usual suspects. I was pleasantly surprised by the licorice undertones, which added body without overpowering the fruit. The tannins and long close were a charming surprise, nostalgic of some of the Aussie pinots I've tried. I'm looking forward to pairing it with a spicy veggie pasta dish, as the zest and vibrancy should complement the heat nicely. I'm guessing it will be a remarkable match. The wine will benefit from some time to breathe, allowing the undertones to unfold and integrate. I'm excited to see how it develops over time.
