WINE DESCRIPTION
Clos Mogador Manyetes is a remarkable wine from the esteemed Clos Mogador winery in Gratallops, Priorat. Sourced from a single vineyard, Manyetes, which faces south on a steep, terraced slope, this wine is crafted under challenging conditions. The vineyard's poor soil stresses the approximately 70-year-old Carignane vines, resulting in very low yields but exceptional quality. Hand-harvested grapes are gently pressed in an old press, making the juice outcome even smaller. The wine undergoes fermentation with native yeasts and is aged for ca. 18 months in 300-liter French oak barrels. With a limited production of around 400 cases annually, Clos Mogador Manyetes exemplifies meticulous craftsmanship and the unique terroir of Priorat.
