WINE DESCRIPTION
Château Maillet is a small 1.5 hectare estate in Pomerol, located on the right bank of Bordeaux. The property is run by Patrick Moze-Berthon and his son, Michael, who are the family's sixth and seventh generation. The wine is composed predominately of Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc that adds freshness and florality to the wine. Old vines are grown in clay-limestone soils, with harvesting done manually. Vinification occurs in new oak barrels and the wines are aged for 18 months prior to bottling.
