WINE DESCRIPTION
Château La Garenne comes the esteemed village of Pomerol in Bordeaux famed for producing the finest Merlot wines on earth. After harvesting, the grapes are destemmed, crushed and transferred to inert vessels to begin alcoholic fermentation. The wine is fermented at warm temperatures to increase extraction of tannins and richness of flavors. Once the fermentation is complete, the wine is matured in oak barrels to round out the tannins and improve the texture.

Château La Garenne Pomerol displays aromas of blackberries, plums, and cassis, accompanied by hints of cedar, fresh tobacco, and spices.The wine has a medium body with firm tannins that frame the flavors of dark fruits, such as blackcurrants and blackberries, along with notes of truffle and a touch of earthiness. The oak is well-integrated lending an extra layer of spice and complexity on the relatively persistent finish.
