WINE DESCRIPTION
Château Carbonneau La Verrière is typically made from a majority blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with a proportion of Merlot. This wine hails from the region of Sainte-Foy-Bordeaux that has water-retaining clay-limestone soils, which helps the vines withstand the hotter, dry months during the growing season. Following on from the alcoholic fermentation, the wine is matured for around 12 months in new French barrels to impart notes of sweet baking spice and soften the tannins.

The palate of this wine is rich and full-bodied, with fine-grained tannins that frame the flavors of blackcurrants, black plums, and a touch of vanilla dance on the tongue, creating a delightful balance between fruitiness and oak influence. The finish is relatively persistent with a slight savory edge.
