WINE DESCRIPTION
Roberto Bianco's vineyard is situated within the prestigious Ovello vineyard, recognized as one of the finest Crus in the region. He owns just over 4 hectares of valuable vineyard land, primarily planted with native grape varieties such as Nebbiolo, Barbera, and Dolcetto. As an experiment in 1999, he also cultivated a small plot with Merlot, yielding a limited production of approximately 1500 bottles of the full-bodied Vigna del Merlo.
From the finest Nebbiolo vines, Roberto crafts the Barbaresco Ovello, a wine that can compete with many renowned Barolos. Meanwhile, the Dolcetto and Barbera wines are equally impressive, boasting intensity, a lovely richness, and a lingering finish.
