WINE DESCRIPTION
Butterfield Station Chardonnay is crafted from fruit grown in the viticultural regions along the North Coast, including Sonoma, Mendocino and Lake Counties. The winemaking process begins with pressing and cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks to preserve the fresh fruit character. A portion of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation, adding a creamy texture and complexity. The wine is aged in a portion of new oak barrels which imparts subtle vanilla and spice notes without overpowering the fruit.

The Butterfield Station Chardonnay has a medium golden appearance.The nose shows vibrant flavors of apple, peach, and tropical fruits like ripe pineapple and mango coupled with buttery oak and toasted almonds. On the palate it is rich and medium-bodied with creamy acidity and a rounded mouthfeel. Flavors of nougat, ripe tropical fruit and honey-drenched peaches carries on the smooth, buttery pleasant finish.
