The wine is crafted using the local Montepulciano grape sourced from the province of Chieti commune. The producer, Cantine Volpi is a cooperative that was founded in Tortona in 1914. The wine is matured for around a year in oak vessels to help soften the tannins and add a subtle layer of sweet spice to complement the dark fruit profile, resulting in an approachable, versatile red that can be enjoyed in its youth.
