WINE DESCRIPTION
Situated in Villarroya de la Sierra, within the elevated reaches of the designated origin (DO) region, the winery is nestled amidst geological formations dating back to the Paleolithic era, predominantly composed of quartzite and slate. These soils boast optimal organic content, ensuring the vine's nutrient supply and proper aeration. The climate is characterized by minimal rainfall and significant day-to-night temperature fluctuations. Filon's grapes are sourced from venerable vineyards, aged between 30 to 40 years, boasting low yields of 2 tons per hectare. These vineyards are perched high on hillsides, at an altitude of 3,000 feet above sea level, in the northern Calatayud zone. The wine undergoes stainless steel fermentation.
