Ancient vines on steep slopes with slate soils present a genuine challenge and demanding work for the winemaker. However, as often happens, the most challenging labor can yield the most beautiful results. This complex red wine is one of the finest from the Priorat region. Cloaked in a purple-red robe, it exudes an opulent bouquet offering a myriad of sensory impressions: dark, ripe berry fruit, toasty notes like toast, cedarwood, cocoa, and, of course, the mineral freshness attributed to the unique Llicorella slate. On the palate, it is dense and firm yet always elegant and aristocratic. The lingering finish showcases the great potential that Clos Martinet holds for the coming years. The wine exhibits remarkable harmony amid all its complexity.
