WINE DESCRIPTION
Barale Fratelli Serraboella Barbaresco is a distinguished wine from one of the oldest estates in the Langhe region, Piedmont. Produced by Barale Fratelli, founded in 1870, this wine is crafted from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Serraboella vineyard in Neive. The vineyard's calcareous, sandy loam soil, south-facing exposure, and altitude of 280-300 meters contribute to the wine's distinct character. With vines planted in 1969 and organically grown, the grapes are hand-harvested in early October. The winemaking process includes soft crushing, static fermentation with indigenous yeasts, and a maceration period of 15-30 days. The wine is then fined for two years in medium-sized oak barrels and bottle-aged for at least 12 months, resulting in a complex, elegant Barbaresco that embodies the heritage and craftsmanship of Barale Fratelli.
