Autòcton Celler Mas Vilella is a project of Montsant winemaker Albert Jane who discovered an estate of old vineyards that were split between the DOs of Penedes and Tarragona. This wine is from old vine Cabernet Sauvignon and Sumoll grapes. Sumoll being a native Spanish grape. The vineyards are farmed organically, and winemaking in minimal with native yeasts and large, old, oak. The wine is a medium bodied with intense notes of cherries and balsamic vinegar.
