WINE DESCRIPTION
Alta Maria Chardonnay hails from the Santa Maria Valley, located on the Central Coast of California. The grapes are typically sourced from a blend of 2 iconic vineyards, Gold Coast and Nielson Vineyard farmed using sustainable methods. The grapes are hand harvested at night to preserve character and freshness. On arrival at the winery, the whole clusters were pressed and fermented in French oak barrels. A proportion of the wine was matured on lees for a period of around eight months before bottling to add texture and weight.

The Alta Maria Chardonnay exhibits a pale straw color with golden hues, enticing the senses with its vibrant aromas of ripe tropical fruits, such as pineapple and mango, along with hints of citrus and vanilla.On the palate, this Chardonnay offers a harmonious balance of flavors, showcasing notes of juicy pear, crisp apple, and a touch of creamy oak. The wine's acidity is well-integrated, providing a refreshing and lively mouthfeel. The finish is moderate in length culminating with a touch of vanilla cream and mango.
