Robust and full-bodied red from the 2010 vintage, the St-Joseph from Graillot is a remarkable in its class. After a brief decanting, the wine's aromas of concentrated fruit, bacon fat, and spices began to unfold, revealing layers of pepper and salted caramel. The palate was opulent, with firm tannins that provided structure. As it aged, the wine showed significant improvement, with the suggestions deepening and the finale lingering. Given its age, I would recommend a minimum of 5 years for optimal development.
