Sukholimansky Bely has lemon-green colour berries. The grapes are usually made into dry and medium-dry blends, often with Aligoté. The wine is soft but aromatic, with lots of whtie blossoms, citrus, and apple aromas.
It is found mainly in the Odessa, Nikolaev and Kherson regions in the south of Ukraine and also in Krasnodar, south-east Russia. Sukholimansky Bely is relative productive, vigorous and mid ripening with thin but durable berry skins. Sukholimansky Bely pairs well with light fish dishes and summer salads.
Plavaï is a once-popular but now almost extinct Moldovan variety.
