Petite Pearl is a black American hybrid
Petite Pearl is a black grape variety. The wine have relatively full body, soft tannins and complex aromas such as black cherries, plums, herbs and spices.
Petite Pearl are mainly grown in the Midwest and New York State in the US, Ontario and Québec in Canada. Petite Pearl are extremely winter-hardy. It is Late budding and mid ripening. Hence it is suitable to be planted in cool climate regions. Petite Pearl pairs well with grill meat, barbeques and beef.
Initially named Black Pearl by Plocher, who had to change the name to Petite Pearl to avoid a trademark dispute.
