Krasnostop Zolotovsky is a Russian grape variety primarily from the Black Sea region in the south of Russia.
Krasnostop Zolotovsky is a red grape variety with large, cylindrical berries of deep red colour. It has a delightful bouquet of black fruits and fresh herb aromas. On the palate, it has an intense flavor of black current and plum, with firm tannins and high acidity.
This variety of grape is grown in the south of Russia, Krasnodar and Stavropol. It is also grown in some parts of Ukraine. Krasnostop Zolotovsky is a relatively vigorous variety that is well-suited to a variety of soil types. It produces generous yields of medium-sized bunches of grapes that have excellent flavour and colour. It is often used in the production of semi-sweet and sweet wines. In Crimean regions, the variety is used to make a semi-sweet rosé and a sweet red wine. In Krasnodar and Stavropol, it is used to make a semi-sweet red wine. Krasnostop Zolotovsky goes well with meat dishes with rich and savory sauce, such as beef stew.
