The variety is mainly cultivated in Pinzano al Tagliamento and Castelnovo del Friuli in Italy. The light tannins and subtle aromas of Forgiarin pair well with a variety of dishes, including white meat and fish.
Forgiarin takes its name from Forgaria near Pinzano al Tagliamento in Friuli.
