Crystal is an as yet unidentified variety from Yunnan, China
Crystal produces white wine, with sweet, foxy smell and rose-like aromas.
Crystal was allegedly imported into China in 1965 by Dongfeng Farm in Yunnan province, along with ten other grape varieties, including Rose Honey and French Wild. Crystal wines pair well with salad, and light meats such as pork and beef dishes with sweet sauces.
Crystal was allegedly introduced from Europe to the Shangri-La region in Yunnan province by missionaries at the beginning of the nineteenth century.
