WINE DESCRIPTION
Yangarra GSM is a blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre farmed biodynamically in McLaren Vale located within the Limestone Coast of South Australia. Each variety is handled separately, with careful destemming and sorting in the winery. Some whole berries are retained and fermentation takes place using wild yeast. The wine was matured in a mixture of older large French oak puncheons and foudres, ceramic eggs and amphora to yield a rich and complex flavor profile of red and black fruits, spice, and earthy notes.

Yangarra GSM offers a captivating nose of ripe fruits, such as blackberries and strawberries, intertwined with subtle hints of spice and earthiness.These aromas are further enhanced by delicate floral and smoky notes.
The palate is rich and velvety, with a harmonious balance between the fruit, tannins, and acidity. The Grenache component contributes vibrant red berry flavors, while the Shiraz adds depth and complexity with its dark fruit characteristics and peppery undertones. Mourvèdre brings structure and a savory element, with hints of black olives and dried herbs.
This wine has a full body and rounded texture with a persistent finish.

McLaren Vale has a long and proud history of winemaking, with the first vines planted in the region in 1838. The region’s first commercial winery, Bleasdale, was established in 1850, and the region has been producing quality wines ever since.
