WINE DESCRIPTION
Yalumba The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the prestigious Coonawarra region based in South Australia which is characterized by its red limestone 'terra rossa' soil. After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and fermented before being aged for around a year and a half in a combination of Hungarian and French oak barrels, resulting in added aromatic and textural complexity. The barrel maturation also contributes oak tannin that will help the wine to develop in bottle.

The Yalumba The Menzies Cabernet Sauvignon offers an enticing array of aromas from blackcurrant, blackberry, and dark chocolate, accompanied by subtle hints of cedar and crushed mint.The aromas are rich and complex on the palate. The wine is full-bodied and well-structured with fine-grained tannins that frame the ripe black fruit flavors. On the finish, there is a firm core of acidity that is wrapped by notes of blackcurrant, spice, and a touch of mint.
