In 2022 there were about 3,758 hectares under vines, a 70 percent increase in 5 years. In 2022, over 500 vineyards and more than 200 wineries produced about 8 million bottles. Climate change has favoured the planting of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir for sparkling wine. Today, the majority of the production includes traditionally fermented sparkling wine.
