Wine Description:
Vintage Longbottom Morse Code Shiraz comes from the Padthaway region located in the Limestone Coast of South Australia. This picturesque region is characterized by the high calcium carbonate found in the soils, that help retain water during the warm, dry growing season. Here, Shiraz is able to reach full ripeness year after year, producing a full-bodied, ripe, jammy style of red redolent of blackberry jam, crushed mint and spice. Vinification is geared towards retention of fruit flavors whilst creating a bold yet supple wine that is ready to drink on release.

Wine Expert Note:

The Vintage Longbottom Morse Code Shiraz is a bold and robust red wine with a deep, dark color. On the nose, it offers a attractive nose of blackberries, plums, and dark chocolate, with hints of spice. These aromas continue to unfold on the palate, where the wine reveals its rich and concentrated flavors. Ripe black fruits, such as blackcurrants and black cherries, take center stage, accompanied by notes of smoked meats and a touch of pepper. The wine is full-bodied and round with sufficient acidity to balance the jammy fruit profile.
