Viña Zorzal Cuatro del Cuatro is produced from 35+ year-old vines from their own vineyards in Ombatillo (Corella), in Navarra. This wine is made from 100% Graciano grapes, a variety known to give high acidity and tannins. The grapes are hand harvested with the best bunches being reserved for the Corella Graciano in small 8kg crates to prevent the grapes from crushing each other. On arrival at the winery, the grapes are crushed. Alcoholic fermentation occurs with native yeasts in 500 litre French oak barrels. This is followed by malolactic fermentation and ageing for 12 months in two-year old, 300 litre French, oak barrels.
Prior to bottling, the wine undergoes a gentle clarification and filtration, without stabilization. The wine has marked acidity but is balanced by fine fruit flavours and spice.

Navarra is a Spanish wine region located in the north of the country, just south of the Pyrenees Mountains. It is known for its rich history, diverse topography, and unique climate, which all contribute to the production of some of Spain's most distinctive wines.
Navarra has a long history of winemaking, starting with the ancient Romans, and continuing under the Moors and Christian rule. Demand for wine was also strengthened by the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia.
