WINE DESCRIPTION
Nestled on the Mendoza River's banks, this Argentine property holds the oldest Malbec vines, dating back to the 1850s, making it Malbec's true home in the country. Alberto Arizu Snr guides visitors through the vineyard, revealing a unique mutated Malbec species, exclusive to this site. Hand-harvested and meticulously sorted, the grapes undergo a cold maceration before fermentation, followed by post-ferment maceration for tannin extraction. The wine ages for 12 months in new French oak barrels, undergoes cold stabilization, and is bottled without filtration. Each vintage is a piece of wine history, showcasing the property's enduring legacy and commitment to traditional winemaking.

Mendoza is the largest wine-producing region in Argentina, located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. It is known for its high-altitude vineyards, producing some of the country's most renowned wines.
