In the late 1990s, Lorenzo Mocchiutti and his wife Federica Magrini inherited a few hectares of neglected vineyards from Lorenzo's grandfather. These vineyards, planted with old vines of local varieties like Tocai Giallo, Malvasia Istriana, and Schioppettino, along with Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay, and Merlot, now span seven hectares, including the historic Ronco Pitotti vineyard, with vines dating back to the 1920s. Embracing a holistic approach, they follow a "No Trimming the Shoots" and "No Herbicides" philosophy, allowing vines to find their own balance. Their efforts, combined with hand-harvesting and natural fermentation, yield pure, age-worthy wines.
