WINE DESCRIPTION

This PGI Cyclades red wine from Venetsanos Winery showcases the potential of Mandilaria grapes. After a short maceration, the free-run must ferments in stainless steel tanks. Interestingly, 60% then continues aging in 225-liter barrels, while the remaining 40% completes fermentation in stainless steel. Following several months of maturation, the final blend is bottled, resulting in a wine that captures the essence of both methods.

Aromas of ripe red fruit, spice and a hint of earthiness are present in this Venetsanos Mandilaria.On the palate, it is full-bodied and complex with a velvety texture and a long, lingering finish. Balanced and elegant, this wine displays notes of dark cherry, plum, and spice, with subtle hints of licorice and tobacco. It is a great example of the delicious and unique character of the Mandilaria grape.
