Valiano Valiano 6.38 Chianti Classico Gran Selezione is a red wine that showcases the best of the Chianti Classico appellation. The wines is made mainly from Sangiovese supported by small amounts of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The grapes all comes from a single vineyard planited in the 1990s at over 1,000 feet of elevation. The different grapes are vinified apart before belnding taking places after the wines have spent 18 months in oak. The wine then spends 12 months in bottle before release. This is an evolved Chianti with integrated tannins and complex leather and tobacco notes. It wil be perfect for serving with dry aged meats and will suit any drinker who enjoys aged Rioja and other styles released at enhanced states of maturity.
