Nestled between the Pyrenees foothills along the path from Cathar castles to Maury, the Domaine sprang to life in 2001, born from a union of two vignerons: Jean-Luc Thunevin of Château Valandraud and Maury native, Jean-Roger Calvet. Initially, Jean-Luc acquired a few hectares, blending them with Jean-Roger's vines to produce our inaugural vintage, crafted in a modest garage nestled in a Maury alley. Over time, the estate flourished, now spanning 65 hectares, all cultivated with eco-conscious practices. The vintages are nurtured in a winery dedicated to ecological principles since 2008. Thunevin-Calvet Cuvée Constance Côtes du Roussillon Villages embodies Roussillon's essence, boasting a unique terroir of sun-drenched slopes and diverse soils, yielding grapes of unparalleled quality. Their winemaking blends tradition with innovation, resulting in a wine of elegance and complexity, harmonizing fruit, tannins, and acidity. This Côtes du Roussillon Villages offers a full-bodied style, layered with dark fruit, spice, and earthy nuances.

The Thunevin-Calvet Cuvée Constance Côtes du Roussillon Villages is a remarkable wine that offers the unique characteristics of the Côtes du Roussillon Villages region. This wine is a blend of carefully selected grape varieties, resulting in a complex and well-balanced flavor profile.
On the nose, you can expect enticing aromas of ripe dark fruits, such as blackberries and plums, accompanied by hints of spices and herbs. These aromas are a true reflection of the terroir and the meticulous winemaking process.
The palate is equally impressive, with a rich and velvety texture that coats the mouth. The flavors are intense and concentrated, with notes of black cherries, blackcurrants, and a touch of licorice. The wine's well-integrated tannins provide structure and contribute to its long and elegant finish.
The Thunevin-Calvet Cuvée Constance Côtes du Roussillon Villages is a wine that can be enjoyed now, but it also has the potential to age gracefully. It pairs wonderfully with hearty dishes such as roasted meats, game, or aged cheeses.
Languedoc-Roussillon is an expansive wine region in the south of France stretching from Nîmes and Montpellier east along the Mediterranean coast and inland to the Spanish border. It is the largest wine-producing region in the country, with a long and rich history of winemaking.
The Languedoc-Roussillon region has been producing wine since the Roman Empire. It was the first region in France to produce sparkling wines, and it has been a major producer of fortified wines since the Middle Ages. In the 19th century, the region was known for its sweet wines, but in the 20th century, it began to focus on producing dry wines.
