WINE DESCRIPTION
The Williamsburg Winery Gabriel Archer Reserve is a blend of Bordeaux varieties combined with the powerfully tannic and thick-skinned grape Tannat. After harvesting, the grapes are crushed and fermented in inert vessels with focus on heavy extraction to build tannins with the aim of creating a velvety wine. The wines are matured for a period in a combination of new and used French, American and Hungarian oak barrels to further round out the mouthfeel and contribute aromas of sweet spices.

The Williamsburg Winery has a deep ruby appearance with heavy staining of tears.On the nose, aromas of black cherry, plum and cassis are complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco and allspice. On the palate, the wine reveals a ripe, juicy core of dark fruit, framed by grippy tannins and a hint of earthy minerality. The finish is long and rich, with lingering hints of spice and cedar.
