WINE DESCRIPTION
Terra Sávia Sanel Valley Vineyards Chardonnay is produced using entirely estate fruit that was organically grown fruit on the Sanel Valley Vineyards in Mendocino County. Vines are grown in gravely-loamy soils and experience dry, warm summers. However, the heat is offset by the high elevation location and the nearby mountain range provides shade and cool breezes during the afternoon. Vinification takes place in inert vessels, with the focus on enhancing the fruit flavors without the distraction of oak.

Terra Sávia Sanel Valley Vineyards Chardonnay has a medium gold appearance.On the nose, expect rich and decadent aromas of ripe tropical fruits such as pineapple and mango, complemented by hints of yellow apples. The palate is rich and medium-bodied, with soft acidity and a creamy texture that coats the mouth. Flavors of yellow and custard apples, and a touch of butter dance on the palate, marking the relatively short, fruity finish.

The North Coast of California has a long and storied history of winemaking, dating back to the mid-1800s. The region was first planted with vines by Spanish missionaries, who planted Mission grapes in the area. In the late 1800s, Italian immigrants began to settle in the region, bringing with them their own grape varieties and winemaking techniques.
