The wine is made from grapes grown in the Home Vineyard, which is known for its very suitable growing conditions for Zinfandel, with limited water supply forcing vines to produce very concentrated grapes. The winemaking process involves careful selection of the best grapes, followed by fermentation and aging in oak barrels, ca. 1/3 of which are new, to enhance the wine's complexity and depth. The resulting wine is a rich and full-bodied Zinfandel with a smooth and velvety texture.
