Tenor Cabernet Sauvignon is a masterful blend from select parcels within Washington’s Columbia Valley. It combines grapes from the Quintessence and Canyons vineyards in Red Mountain AVA, Wallula Gap in Horse Heaven Hills AVA, and Stoneridge in Royal Slope AVA. These locations offer a diverse range of terroirs that contribute to the wine's complexity. A hot June accelerated sugar development, prompting growers to use canopy cover and drip irrigation to protect the grapes. The winemaking team delayed harvest until October for optimal flavor. Hand-harvested fruit was sorted, cold-soaked, and fermented to develop polished tannins. After extended maceration and 21 months in new French oak, only 8 barrels were selected, yielding a limited number of cases of this vibrant, intense Cabernet Sauvignon, bottled unfined and unfiltered.
