WINE DESCRIPTION
Suhru Shiraz is a premium red wine produced by Suhru Wines, a family-owned winery located in Long Island, New York. The grapes used to make this wine are sourced from carefully selected vineyards in the North Fork region, known for its maritime climate and sandy soil. The winemaking process involves fermentation in open top tanks with the skins before being pressed off. The wine was then transferred to barrel where is aged for around 7 months in American oak. Suhru Shiraz is a perfect pairing for grilled meats and hearty stews.
NOTES FROM VINOVOSS SOMMELIER
Suhru Shiraz presents an inviting deep purple hue in the glass. The nose is a bouquet of dark fruits, dominated by luscious blackberries and ripe plums, intertwined with notes of licorice and a hint of herbs. As the wine opens up, aromas of cracked black pepper and subtle floral undertones add complexity. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, with velvety tannins that frame the ripe black fruit and vanilla on the satisfying, relatively persistent finish.
