WINE DESCRIPTION
Spicerack Syrah is a richly, spicy wine from Sonoma County. The grapes are predominantly sourced from low-yielding, dry-farmed hilly vineyards located in Dry Creek Valley appellation. Fruit is hand harvested, sorted and mostly de-stemmed before the alcoholic fermentation. A small proportion of Viognier grapes were added to enhance the color and give an aromatic lift to the wine. The wine is matured in new French oak barrels for approximately nine months prior to bottling.

Spicerack Syrah has a deep, almost opaque purple color and intense aromas, this wine immediately captivates the senses.On the nose, it reveals a rich bouquet of blackberries, blueberries, and plums, accompanied by hints of black pepper, violets and smoky notes. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied with a velvety texture, with well-integrated tannins that provide a smooth mouthfeel. The flavors are complex and layered, with ripe black fruits taking center stage, complemented by subtle notes of dried violets and a touch of vanilla that carries on the moderate length finish.
